ACOSOL´s main activities is to supply water and drainage, not only to the community but also directly to individuals in out-of-town urbanisations and communities and also in small villages such as Istán, Casares and Ojen where ACOSOL applies lower rates than private companies dedicated to water supply within the Costa del Sol Occidental. .

Costa del Sol Occidental population has very extreme seasonal changes with maximum populations of approx. 1.200.000 people during the peak holiday periods and only 400.000 registered users.

At present ACOSOL provides more than 40,000 individual clients, based on the following rates, presented in comparison with those existing until 2005.

A fixed rate of 0,13 € per cubic meter will also be applied while the Desaladora de la Costa del Sol (Desalinization Plant) is in use.

This increase will be applied to the various intermediate licensed public companies that supply water in towns, who should be applying the increase based on the proportion of water consumed from ACOSOL, not from other municipal or private resources.
