The
publicly owned company ACOSOL was founded in 1994
as a response to the need to bring improvements
and flexibility to such an important service as
the supply of water and sanitation its legal form
is that of a publicly owned
company belonging to the Association of Municipalities
of the Western Costa del Sol.
ACOSOL
takes charge of bringing water from the La Concepción
reservoir to the municipalities and housing developments
that request it. It is also in charge of cleaning
(purifying) used water, so that it reaches the
sea in perfect condition or for use in watering golf courses and gardens.
