Acosol's most important activities are the supply of drinking water and sanitation, that is to say the treatment of waste water.
| Supply consists of taking water from the Concepción reservoir and other complementary resources to the general tanks on estates and in municipalities, a process known as upstream supply. Once there, the water is distributed by municipal contractors or local councils. At the same time there is a domestic supply service, aimed almost one hundred per cent at estates and residential communities outside urban centres, which Acosol serves applying tariffs cheaper than any other company supplying individuals on the Western Costa del Sol. |

This has brought about the number of customers to be above 40,000.
As for what is referred to as sanitation of waste water, ACOSOL is in charge of a 100 km strip of land along the coast, fully dedicated to tourism industry. Therefore, this service is fundamental, motivating the development of an infrastructure integrating six sewage treatment plants, designed for big urban areas (the one at Elviria, in Marbella has a capacity to serve over 300,000 people), besides a smaller one at Casares pueblo.
