At this point it is important to emphasize the work of the Department of Processing and Control of Water of the public company ACOSOL, which includes the Laboratory of Analysis, authorized by the Regional Ministry of Public Health of the Junta de Andalucía that performs nearly 45,000 analytical tests per year on waters intended for human consumption. At the same time, over 30,000 tests are performed on Sewage at the seven Plants integrated on the regeneration of sewage water system, to be added the nearly 18,000 tests done at the Central Laboratory.

The authorization granted by the Junta de Andalucía enables ACOSOL Laboratory to carry out the function of analytical self-control, according to the Decree 444/1996, dated 17th of September, known as Laboratories Decree.

All these activities rely on a team of over 400 employees, including administration and management, high and medium level technicians, specialists and operatives concerned with the maintenance and functioning of the water supply and purification networks.
