Internet is an increasingly important resource, sometimes crucial, in different aspects of life: education, employment, health care, public administration, and more. Hence the need for websites to be equally accessible to all people, regardless of ther physical or mental situation and the device used to access them.
People with disabilities’ access to technology has to be granted in a fair and equal society. It guarantees that every citizen can access all the information and available resources on equal terms.
Acosol is fully aware of this reality. Therefore, we have developed this website following the recommendations and requirements established by national and international organizations in terms of web accessibility.
Among others, the following guidelines have been applied:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C)
- UNE 139803:2012 standard that sets the accessibility requirements for web content, in particular regarding the levels A and AA compliance criteria linked to the WCAG 2.0 document.
Recommendations of the Spanish Observatory of Web Accessibility, public body of the Finance and Public Administration Ministry of Spain that seeks to increase the compliance degree in terms of accessibility of public administration websites.
