AGUA 360

Acosol has launched ‘Agua 360,’ a strategic project encompassing all actions and initiatives designed to drive the company’s digital transformation and enhance water efficiency across the Western Costa del Sol. Part of the Spanish Government’s Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the project is backed by €3,286,781.36 in European Union – NextGenerationEU funding. The strategy targets all municipalities within the Association of Municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol, namely: Benahavís, Benalmádena, Casares, Estepona, Fuengirola, Istán, Manilva, Marbella, Mijas, Ojén, and Torremolinos.

Agua 360 aims to drive the modernization of Acosol’s infrastructure, thereby consolidating its digital transformation model. This project is the fundamental tool for managing the urban water cycle effectively, not just in shared regional systems, but also across the smaller municipalities of the Western Costa del Sol.

Agua 360 was created to meet the ongoing and future challenges facing the water industry. "It provides a critical and timely response to these impending challenges. Far from just ensuring efficiency and sustainability, this project is set to digitally revolutionize the region's entire urban water cycle. Acosol has been working on this initiative for several years. Originally launched in 2021 under the company’s Digital Transformation Strategic Plan, the strategy now finds its ultimate catalyst in this PERTE funding. It comprises multiple actions that will positively impact every single municipality within the association. In total, the project comprises 51 initiatives structured across three main areas, focusing on planning and anticipation, enhanced efficiency, and digitization and data management. Consequently, developing this communication plan is essential to provide unity, meaning, and coherence to the project. It ensures proper dissemination of all integrated actions, keeping both internal and external stakeholders—including citizens, community associations, and collaborating industry partners—fully informed of the initiatives and their benefits.
